Dane Barclay is a psychologist and performance specialist with over 15 years experience helping people perform reliably under pressure- in competition, on stage, and in demanding real-world environments.
From 2026, his primary clinical focus is back to performance and sport psychology, working with athletes and high-performing individuals to develop psychological flexibility, emotional control, attention under load, and decision-making when it matters most.
Danes approach is calm, practical, and grounded in evidence-based psychology and lived performance environments. He works across elite sport, endurance and adventure contexts, performing arts, universities, and leadership settings- supporting individuals who care deeply about mastery, consistency, and longevity in their craft.
He has consulted with elite athletes and teams on the world stage, mentors emerging practitioners, and delivers advanced training in applied performance psychology. His TEDx talk, Getting Comfortable with Discomfort, explores how learning to relate differently to pressure becomes a genuine performance advantage.
Alongside his performance work, Dane continues to provide selective outreach assessments for cognitive, adhd and autism in regional and rural communities – reflecting his commitment to making psychology accessible.
