Warm, genuine and non-judgemental, Mel takes a collaborative approach to therapy to improve well-being. As a registered psychologist, Mel aims to build insight and confidence, as well as create a safe space to explore each client’s unique needs and goals for therapy.
With a keen interest in complex trauma, Mel examines how traumatic experiences are trapped in the body and become a 'new normal' for the body and brain. She is passionate about early intervention approaches, working with young people to improve their mental health, that will in turn, help them to build meaningful and fulfilling adult lives.
Mel helps clients manage depression, anxiety and panic, life stressors, as well as relationship conflict, among other challenges.
Mel has a strong commitment to professional development and evidence-based practice. She frequently seeks out opportunities to upgrade her knowledge and clinical practice skills in special interest areas and beyond.
Mel is available for psychology appointments on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
